How to get more out of a prompt
The prompts that hold up in practice are specific about three things: the role the model is playing, the material it is allowed to use, and the exact shape of the output. Vague prompts produce plausible, unusable text. Before you paste anything from here, swap in your own constraints — audience, length, format, and what the model should do when it is unsure rather than guessing.
Prompts also do not transfer cleanly between models. Context windows, tool-calling conventions and refusal behaviour all differ, so a prompt tuned for one model deserves a quick re-test before you rely on it somewhere else.
