ZeroTwo vs ChatGPT: pick by the work, not the logo
ChatGPT is OpenAI's own app. ZeroTwo is a separate workspace that puts models from several providers behind one plan, with its own agents, connectors and credits. They overlap a lot, and they are not copies of each other.
ZeroTwo publishes this page, so read it as our view. ChatGPT details come from OpenAI's pricing page, read in October 2026.

Who should use which
The honest answer depends on whether your work needs OpenAI's own app features or a place to use several providers' models together.
Your work leans on OpenAI's own app features
Custom GPTs, Codex and ChatGPT Work are OpenAI products, listed on OpenAI's pricing page. ZeroTwo can run OpenAI models, but it does not contain those products. If a custom GPT is part of your daily routine, keep ChatGPT for it.OpenAI's plan listTry ZeroTwo ifYou want several providers behind one login
ZeroTwo puts 60+ models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and others in one workspace, with a Work agent, a code agent and connectors on paid plans. It suits people who change models by task and want one place to keep the files and the history.Browse the ZeroTwo model listUse both ifEach tool has a job you would not give up
Nothing makes this exclusive. A reasonable setup is ChatGPT for the OpenAI-native features and ZeroTwo for multi-model drafts and agent work. Run the three-task test below before you cancel anything.Jump to the testNative ChatGPT features are not the same as model access
Using an OpenAI model in ZeroTwo gets you that model. It does not get you the app OpenAI built around it. The reverse is also true: ChatGPT cannot give you another provider's models.

Decision matrix
Read down your own list of needs. A row where both sides look alike is not a reason to switch; a row you cannot confirm is a reason to test first.
| What you need | ChatGPT, per OpenAI | ZeroTwo | How to check it |

| Which models you can use | OpenAI's own models. The pricing page lists GPT-6 reasoning on Plus and a Pro reasoning tier on Pro. | 60+ models across providers. Settle it with three identical tasks
Feature lists cannot tell you which tool finishes your work with fewer edits. Run the same three jobs in both, on plans you would really pay for. This is a plan for you to follow, not a result we are claiming.
Cited research
Ask a question that needs sources, with a stated deadline and audience.
- Give both
- One research question and the format you want back
- Compare
- Whether each citation opens and supports the sentence beside it
- Write down
- Broken links, unsupported claims, edits before you could send it
Spreadsheet analysis
Upload one real spreadsheet and ask for three findings and a chart.
- Give both
- A file with a few awkward rows, so you can see how each tool handles them
- Compare
- Whether the numbers reconcile with your own spot-checks
- Write down
- Wrong totals, silent assumptions, the chart you had to redo
Slide delivery
Turn the research and the analysis into a short deck you could present.
- Give both
- Both earlier outputs and a one-line brief
- Compare
- Whether you can open, edit and present the file as delivered
- Write down
- Formatting fixes, missing slides, time spent finishing it
Keep a record sheet for each run
- Plan and price you paid
- Model used for each task
- Date you ran the test
- Credits or usage consumed
- Revision rounds until usable
- Tools that were or were not available
Write the pass or fail checks before you run anything, and keep the original outputs.

ZeroTwo vs ChatGPT questions
Does ZeroTwo include everything ChatGPT does?
No. ZeroTwo is a separate product. It can run OpenAI models, but ChatGPT's own features, such as custom GPTs, Codex and ChatGPT Work, belong to OpenAI's app. Access to a provider's model is not the same as access to that provider's whole product.
Are OpenAI models available in ZeroTwo?
Yes, OpenAI is one of the providers in ZeroTwo's model list, next to Anthropic, Google, xAI and others. Which models a plan can use varies, so check the model list and your plan before you rely on a specific one.
Is ZeroTwo cheaper than ChatGPT?
Not automatically. ZeroTwo Plus is $14.99 a month and OpenAI lists ChatGPT Plus at $20, but the plans are not equivalents. ZeroTwo meters usage in credits, and ZeroTwo Pro at $29.99 costs more than ChatGPT Plus. Price your own month of work on both before you decide.
Is there a free trial?
There is no trial period. ZeroTwo has a Free plan that starts with 100 credits and adds 20 bonus credits each day you log in, with limited model selection. Paid plans start with Plus.
Can I move my ChatGPT history into ZeroTwo?
We have not verified an import route for ChatGPT conversations, so plan to re-supply the files and instructions that matter instead of expecting them to move over.
Is this comparison independent?
No. ZeroTwo publishes this page and has an interest in the outcome. We have not run a benchmark and publish no scores. ChatGPT plan details are taken from OpenAI's pricing page, read in October 2026; confirm anything you would pay for there.
