Where Manus is listed as the starting point, it may well be the better fit. We have not benchmarked either product.
One market-entry assignment, identical success criteria
A test design, not a result. Northstar is fictional and we have not published a run, files or a recording of it. For a market-size question on its own, see market-sizing research.
Build the input bundle
A fictional company called Northstar considering a US launch: a one-page brief, twelve customer signals in a CSV, and a baseline table for four acquisition channels. We have not published a bundle, so write yours or adapt a real one with names removed.
Fix the output contract
A market-entry brief (DOCX) with audience, launch promise, evidence, risks, assumptions and a 90-day sequence, plus an experiment list (CSV) with hypothesis, success metric, decision rule, owner and timing.
Run both without hints
Same files, same written constraints, same required outputs, on plans you would pay for. Record the plan, model, date and duration.
Check the evidence
Recompute all twelve customer-signal rows and the channel totals. Trace every claim to an input or find it labelled as an assumption.

Interrupt and revise
Tighten one constraint halfway, such as a budget cap. Note what context survived, what changed in the files and what the extra pass cost.
Break something on purpose
Withdraw one source or ask for something unavailable. Record whether the product tells you, retries or carries on quietly.
Decide as a human
Review the factual, financial and strategic conclusions yourself. Nothing should be sent or published on the strength of the agent alone.

Questions before you compare
How should I compare the same assignment in both tools?
Give both the same input files, the same written constraints and the same list of required outputs, on plans you would really pay for. Write the pass/fail checks before you start, keep the original outputs, and record the duration, retries, usage and number of revision rounds. The market-entry assignment on this page is one way to do it.
What happens if a run stops or a tool is unavailable?
We have not published failure-handling results, so we make no claim either way. Test it: withdraw a source or request something unavailable, then note whether the product tells you, retries or carries on silently, and how the interrupted run was counted against your usage.
Can I revise the output without restarting?
ZeroTwo is designed for follow-up passes on a deliverable, but how well that works is something to measure, not assume. Change one requirement and check whether the untouched sections stay the same, what context carried over and what the extra pass consumed.
Which files and sources can each product use?
In ZeroTwo you can attach your own files and use web search; Free uses Serper and paid plans use Exa. For Manus, read its documentation and plan page, since sources and limits vary by plan. Only upload material you are authorized to use, and remove sensitive data you do not need.
How can I estimate total task cost?
Run the assignment once on the plan you would buy and note the credits or allowance used, then add the revision rounds you expect. Cost depends on the files, tools and models involved. ZeroTwo's allowances are on the pricing page; for Manus, use its own pricing page.
Doesn't Manus already create finished files?
Yes. Finished files are not unique to ZeroTwo and this page does not claim they are. The useful comparison is how each product keeps a long assignment coherent, shows its usage and lets you inspect and revise the result.
Is the Northstar assignment a customer case study?
