For people who live in Google Workspace
Gemini or ZeroTwo: which fits a Google-centred workflow?
Gemini is strongest where Google built it, inside Gmail, Docs and Drive. ZeroTwo is a multi-model workspace that reaches into Google through connectors and runs Gemini alongside other providers. ZeroTwo publishes this page and sells a competing plan, so read the verdicts as our reading, not as test results.

Who should pick what
The honest split is about where the work happens, not which model is smarter. Both products give you Gemini models.
Pick Gemini if
Your work happens inside Google's own apps
Google lists Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive and Meet, and bundles Gmail, Drive and Photos storage with its AI plans. If the assistant should sit in the side panel of the document you are already editing, the native product is the better fit, and ZeroTwo does not replace that panel.
Pick ZeroTwo if
You want to switch models on the same files
Run Gemini, then an OpenAI, Anthropic or xAI model, on the same Drive material, and take the work to tools Google does not cover, such as Notion, GitHub or Atlassian.
Use both if
Google for editing, ZeroTwo for cross-tool work
Keep drafting in Docs with Gemini. Use ZeroTwo when a report needs Drive files, notes from another tool and a second model's opinion in one place.
Google surface by surface
What each side says it covers, and the question to answer yourself before you trust it with real mail or files.
| Google surface | Gemini (Google's own pages) | ZeroTwo (our connector list) | Check before you rely on it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gmail | Gemini in Gmail is listed on Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra (select languages, ages 18+). | A Gmail connector is in our list. | Whether the connector only reads mail or can also draft and send. The Google consent screen lists the access it asks for. |
| Docs and Sheets | Gemini in Docs is listed on Google AI Pro and Ultra. Google's Workspace AI page names Docs and Sheets. | No Docs or Sheets connector in our list. | Bring the content in through Drive or an upload, and confirm what comes back for native Google files. |
| Drive | Google's Workspace AI page names Drive. Its plans bundle storage across Gmail, Drive and Photos. | A Google Drive connector is in our list. | Which folders it can see, and whether answers keep file names and links so you can open the source. |
| Calendar and Contacts | Not stated on the Google pages we read. | Google Calendar and Google Contacts connectors are in our list. | Whether you can create events or only read them, before you ask an agent to schedule anything. |
| Meet and meeting notes | Google's Workspace AI page names Meet. | No Meet connector. Meeting tools Fireflies.ai and tl;dv are in our list. | Which recording tool your team already uses, since that decides where the transcript lives. |

What a month costs
Google's entry plans are cheaper than ZeroTwo's. The bundles differ: Google adds storage and its in-app Gemini, ZeroTwo adds models from several providers, agents and connectors.

Gemini models, plus everyone else's
ZeroTwo's catalog covers 60+ models across providers. These are the Gemini ones in it. You get the models, not Google's app surfaces such as the Gmail side panel, Gemini Live or Google storage.

Settle it with one real task
We would rather you test your own files than trust a table. This is the 20-minute version.
Pick one real Google task
For example: turn a Drive folder of meeting notes into a one-page brief. Use files you can share with both tools.
Run it where Google built it
Do it with Gemini in the Google app. Note which permission it asked for, where the output landed and whether it linked back to the source files.
Run it in ZeroTwo with Drive connected
Connect Drive, read the consent screen, and run the same prompt on Gemini 3.1 Pro and then on a second provider's model. Note the access requested and the output format.
Compare what you actually got
Look at accuracy against the source, output format, links back to files, and what the month costs you on each side. We have not published matched-task outputs, so treat this as the checklist we would use, not a result.
Questions Google users ask
Does ZeroTwo replace Gemini in Gmail and Docs?
No. Gemini inside Gmail, Docs and Meet is Google's own product surface. ZeroTwo reaches Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts and Google Drive through connectors and runs Gemini models in its own chat, so the two are used differently rather than swapped one for one.
Can I use Gemini models inside ZeroTwo?
Yes. Gemini 3.1 Pro, Gemini 3 Flash, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Gemini 2.5 Flash, Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite and Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite are in ZeroTwo's model catalog. The Pro and Flash models are marked premium, which means a paid plan or purchased credits. The Free plan has a limited model selection.
Which one costs less?
It depends on what you need. Google lists AI Plus at $4.99 and AI Pro at $19.99 a month, so its entry plans cost less than ZeroTwo Plus at $14.99 and Pro at $29.99. They are not like for like: Google bundles storage and its in-app Gemini features, while ZeroTwo bundles models from several providers, agents and connectors.
Is there a free trial of ZeroTwo?
No. ZeroTwo has a Free plan instead, with 100 free credits to start and 20 bonus credits every day you log in. No card is required for the Free plan.
What permissions does a Google connector need?
Each connector shows Google's own consent screen listing the access it requests. Read it before you approve, start with the narrowest connector you need, and remove access from your Google Account settings whenever you like.
